Charlene is retired from the government having been a manager for the Food and Drug Administration for many years. She now focuses her time on the farm and her hobbies. Occasionally she comes down to the barn to clean or drag the arenas. She usually provides the fantastic food for all our events. Ask anyone who boards with us, you don’t want to miss out on the food!

You will often see her on the mower or tractor, mowing the fields and areas surrounding the barn. During good weather, she trail rides her Appaloosa mare, Betsy followed by her entourage of farm dogs!

In addition to her work on the farm, Charlene also co-owns The Red Caboose, a vintage shop in Keymar, MD. When she’s not working on the farm, Charlene is refurbishing antique and vintage items for the shop and giving them new life.
